At the heart of everything is the ability to imagine your dream and make it come true. Ruth Whitney Bowe has been doing that in this town for the past 25 years. A lifelong love of music sparked her vision for a new nightclub in Minneapolis; she opened The Fine Line Music Café in 1987 and it remains a crown jewel of Twin Cities night life. After performing at the Fine Line, Prince contacted Ruth to collaborate on the creation of Glam Slam nightclub, his musical playground in downtown Minneapolis.
Moving to Wayzata in 1993, she noticed it was impossible to find a great homemade chocolate chip cookie; the answer was Black’s Ford restaurant which Ruth opened to instant success. It remains one of the most popular gathering places on Lake Minnetonka. Continuing her work in the community, Ruth took on the position as Program Director at Way 12 Halfway House where she helped countless families achieve their dream of recovery.
Since 1997 Ruth has been using her creative energy and unique expertise in lease negotiations, building construction, and management to work in the world of real estate, helping others to imagine their dreams… because at the end of the day the heart of everything is in your home.
